ADVENTURES IN TYPOGRAPHY
ELABORATION: JUST MY TYPE / TEXTUALLY EXPERIENCED
Podriq is the first font I've ever designed. It's meant to be simple and straightforward, but friendly and approachable. Using a single line weight, each character is made using two stacked circles as the base.
This one is unfinished and unnamed, but it lead to the creation of my personal logo, so I think its story is worth sharing. This was an attempt to marry heavy metal and minimalism. Each blackletter character was made using perfect squares and 45° angles (with a few exceptions).
This font was inspired by old computer terminals, classic monospace fonts, and the dark corners of space. I named it Deimos, after the smaller moon of Mars. See the demo video.
And lastly, this was a quick experiment to create characters using pixels.
